Waar gaat Beyond the Boundary over?
De duistere fantasie volgt een tweedejaarsstudent op de middelbare school genaamd Akihito Kanbara. Hoewel de jongen een mens lijkt, is hij half Youmu en onkwetsbaar voor wonden omdat hij snel kan genezen. Op een dag ontmoet Akihito eerstejaars Mirai Kuriyama als het erop lijkt dat ze op het punt staat van het dak van de school te springen. Mirai is geïsoleerd vanwege haar vermogen om bloed te manipuleren, wat onder leden van de geestenwereld als ketterij wordt beschouwd. Er beginnen zich verontrustende gebeurtenissen te ontvouwen nadat Akihito Mirai heeft gered.
